Notarization Process With Proof
Once you’ve completed your will and navigated to the final step, you can begin the process of notarizing your will with Proof.
- From the completion page, select the ‘Notarize documents today’ button
- Download your specially formatted PDF will from the popup window
- Click the "Open Proof" button on the same popup
- Follow the guided notarization process on
Steps on Proof
Once you've opened Proof, you'll need to complete these steps:
- Upload your Will - Add the PDF you downloaded from FreeWill
Review your Will - Ensure all information is correct
Verify your identity - Complete Proof's identity verification process
Video call with notary and witnesses - You can:
- Bring your own witnesses at no additional cost, OR
- Request Proof to provide witnesses for an additional cost.
- Have a valid photo ID ready for verification
- Complete payment - Pay for Proof's notarization service
- Receive completed documents - Your notarized Will will be emailed to you
