Notarization Process With Proof

Once you’ve completed your will and navigated to the final step, you can begin the process of notarizing your will with Proof.

1. From the completion page, select the ‘Notarize documents today’ button

2. Download your specially formatted PDF will from the popup window

3. Click the "Open Proof" button on the same popup

4. Follow the guided notarization process on

Steps on Proof

Once you've opened Proof, you'll need to complete these steps:

1. Upload your Will - Add the PDF you downloaded from FreeWill

2. Review your Will - Ensure all information is correct

   Verify your identity - Complete Proof's identity verification process

   Video call with notary and witnesses - You can:

   • Bring your own witnesses at no additional cost, OR
   • Request Proof to provide witnesses for an additional cost.
   • Have a valid photo ID ready for verification
3. Complete payment - Pay for Proof's notarization service
4. Receive completed documents - Your notarized Will will be emailed to you
